what can I use a
portrait session for?
there are endless possibilities for the purpose of a portrait session!
the focus of a portrait session is YOU, point blank. no matter the reason for a session, it is catered towards your purpose and thoughts. we'll work together to make sure you are ready for your session and I promise to be cheering you on the entire time! whether you've lived your life getting your picture taken, or if you are a little uneasy about your session, we will work together to make sure you're comfortable and confident!
the majority of my clientele utilize portrait sessions for senior photos; whether they are graduating from high school, college, grad school, etc!
what will my
session look like?
we will communicate multiple times before your photoshoot either via phone or email to ensure that we choose the best location, time of day, season, weather, and date for your photos!
on the day of your session, I will be so excited to meet you and not only take your photos, but also be able to get to know you! we'll meet at our chosen location and begin. if you schedule a larger session with more than one location or an outfit change, you will have everything you need beforehand and you'll be given time to do so.
for all portrait sessions, you will sign a contract and be expected to pay for your session on the day of your photoshoot.
in the event of inclement weather or last minute schedule changes; I have built in days to have your session rescheduled as quickly as possible.

what is the turn around time for edited photos?
how will my photos
be delivered?
all portrait sessions have a 2 week turn around time for photos. in addition to my photography business, I also work a full-time job with an on-call schedule, so I spend the majority of my free time talking with clients and editing their photos. the majority of my clients would tell you that I have their photos to them in a few days, but there have been occasions where I've needed the full two weeks to complete an album.
what if I have to
cancel my session?
in any event or for any reason you have to cancel or reschedule your session, I am so understanding! life is crazy sometimes for all of us! all I ask is that you communicate and let me know of the change in plans. if you choose to reschedule, I have built in "blocked-off" days for rescheduled sessions! no worries at all :)
all photos are delivered digitally unless otherwise discussed. all of my sessions include a fully edited digital album with full rights (which means you can do anything you want with the photos, except edit them of course). the photos will arrive to you in your inbox from akollerphotography@gmail.com with a link to your album. this link can be shared with family and friends and posted on social media if you choose. they are YOUR photos, so feel free to do whatever you'd like with them! all I ask is that if you post them online, that you give proper credit to AKoller Photography by tagging us in your posts or comments! the majority of my clients are from social media or word of mouth, and this is a great (free!) way to support your photographer! if you'd prefer for your photos to be delivered via USB, you will have to provide the device and arrange for a date to pick up the photos.
can I order prints?
yes, yes, YES! of course you can! once you receive your photos, they are 100% yours! if you'd like to print copies, make cards/announcements, etc. go right ahead! I do offer to have photos printed through AKoller Photography because I have discounts through commonly used websites such as shutterfy, printfuls, and others if you'd like to save some money because prints can easily become pricey! I also offer to create and print designed cards and announcements as well. It is an additional $20 plus the costs of the items and shipping (unique per order). You'll receive three designs to choose from with your favorite photos! if you'd like to see examples, you can contact me and I will send them to you! this service is available up to 6 months after your session, so you'll have plenty of time to think about it!
can I wear more than one outfit? can we have more than one location?
the answer to these questions is always yes! you are more than welcome to have as many outfits as you'd like, however, the session only allows for a small portion of time to go towards outfit changes. I encourage my clients to utilize more than one location to provide a change in scenery, or to capture different vibes in the backgrounds of your photos. mini sessions are not long enough in length to include multiple outfits/locations.
